ABOUT
Longyear Gallery is an artist-run [nonprofit 501(c)(3)] cooperative, representing emerging and seasoned artists located throughout the New York State region.
To assure the highest standards of work, as well as a broad range of styles and media, artists are juried into the gallery.
Exhibits change monthly, typically featuring two solo exhibitions along with a group show of gallery artists.
Founded in 2007, Longyear Gallery continues to be a destination for art lovers and collectors throughout the country and abroad.
Longyear is approximately 2.5 hours from Manhattan. We’re in the historic Commons Building in Margaretville, NY, situated on the edge of the beautiful 700,000 acre Catskill Park. Also in the building, upstairs, are the studios of artists Liz Firmin and Bea Ortiz.
Right outside our door on vibrant Main Street, you will find boutique retail shops, farm to table provisions and fine dining.
If you’re an artist interested in applying for membership in Longyear please contact Membership Chair Robin Halpern at robinhalpern@gmail.com.
You will be notified when an opening becomes available.
We look forward to sharing our ART with you!
