In my seclusion I have been soaking odd pieces of paper and fabric in a solution of natural pigments i.e. boiled beets, celery broth , artichoke pits, black walnuts found on my property. These are then arrayed on a rusted cookie sheet and exposed to the elements - sun and wind & rain; I watch how they change with time and weather. Tissue paper absorbs easily and it is malleable. My bathtub becomes the indoor soaking -paper place. Using beautiful rocks from the Cape I secure and flatten in the liquid and pigment.
A Buddha is also used as a weight - grounding the melded shapes as they fall into relationship with each other.
